RANDY - Shepherd mix, male, 2 years, ~90 lbs. Randy is the definition of a velcro dog! If you want a devoted canine shadow to follow you around and keep you company in your home, look no further. He loves to be with people, and if you are sitting he is guaranteed to come to your for a pet on the head or a scratch on his back. Randy has excellent house manners, likes his crate, does well with most dogs, and is looking for an adult only home. He is okay with cats although he thinks it can be fun to chase a cat and raid the litter box so a dog savvy cat is required. Randy knows his basic commands and is working on his leash manners, he generally walks very well unless he sees a squirrel or a bunny to chase, then he gets a bit excited! Randy is content to be an only dog, although he would likely share his home with the right dog too. Randy is used to a nice big yard and does like to be outside to play so a suburban or rural setting would be best for him.
** If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete an adoption application at http://peppertree.org/adoptapp.php. Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

About Peppertree Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

The primary purpose of Peppertree is to help find homes for dogs in need who represent the character and temperament commonly associated with Golden Retrievers friendliness, intelligence and a peaceful, loving nature. We are volunteers who hold many different jobs in "real" life teachers, lawyers, homemakers, government workers, retirees. We are not "professionals" in animal behavior or training or health, although we have -- and use -- contacts with those who are.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Peppertree holds adoption clinics at various locations in the Capital District. To check the schedule and location of clinics, please visit www.peppertree.org/clinics.php.
