DANCER's Story...
DANCER and siblings were born in a veterinarian's office the evening of 12/5/15. At just a few days of age, these babies and their mommy traveled to the most amazing foster home you can possibly imagine! Their foster mom showered the whole family with endless care affection. At 7 weeks of age they were split into pairs and traveled to different foster homes for more individualized attention. All the foster parents say these babies are well adjusted, loving, fun, and way ahead of the potty training curve for pups their age (thanks to living with their mommy). DANCER and siblings have all been socialized with children and other dogs. They are going to make great additions to any family looking for a cuddly and playful new family member.

DANCER will be microchipped and vaccinated as many times as age will allow before arriving to her forever home.
Her $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to the New England area.

An adoption application on DANCER can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com

All of our dogs start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DANCER, a Kittery Husky/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Labrador Retriever for sale in Kittery, or seeking a Husky/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Kittery.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kittery already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kittery breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Husky/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kittery paves the way for another one to be saved.
