October is Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog month and we're celebrating by waiving adoption fees through October 31st (puppies not included).

Saturdays & Sundays, 10am-3pm, and weekdays by appointment
Dan is a young Hound mix, probably about 1-year-old or so. He's a friendly and affectionate people-lover who likes to follow you around and sit at your feet for rubs. He knows basic commands like sit and stay, and he's easy on a leash. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love, Dan's your guy. However, he can be picky about other dogs and would do best as an only pet. If you are interested in adopting this handsome boy, please call us at 530-824-1985 or apply online at http://www.secondchancepetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
Our regular adoption fee is $75 and it includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer, and microchip.
Prospective adopters must agree to a home visit, have secure fencing and allow their dog to sleep inside at night. Those coming from out of town may submit a vet reference in place of a home visit. All renters need landlord approval.
If you already have a dog or two, they must be spayed/neutered and brought to the shelter for a meet and greet. Homes that already have than two dogs, or any unaltered dogs, will not be considered.
Exceptions to these rules may be made in special circumstances.
To get started, please stop by the shelter at 4312 Rawson Rd in Corning Sat-Sun 10am-3pm, call us at 530-824-1985 or apply online at http://www.secondchancepetrescue.org/adoption-application.html
