Howdy's Story...
Up for adoption: Howdy.

This sweet boy can be adopted in Texas.

Howdy is about one year old and weighs about 40lbs, once he fills out a bit more he will put on more weight, he's long and lanky with big feet, so he has some more filling out to do.

Howdy likes people and other dogs, he loves their company!
We think he may be a Lab-Cur mix. Cur dogs were originally bred by Celts to be a member and guardian of the family ands to help with the stock. He is loving and sweet and going to be a BIG dog.

He rides well in the car and would be a good jogging companion for someone.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Howdy, a Austin Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
