DIXIE's Story...
This little lady is such a sweet dog. She is very friendly and has the sweetest personality, good natured...more on the quiet, gentle side. There was just something about her gentle demeanor that drew me to her when she was at the shelter. I actually passed her up the first week I saw her, but I couldn’t get her off my mind, so I went back and got her. Her owner passed away and she had been living in the house with four other dogs, so she definitely gets with other dogs. Dixie would love nothing more than to be adopted by a loving family of her own. Dixie is 3 years old and weighs about 32 pounds, which is a perfect size. She has been spayed, heartworm tested, microchipped, current on all vaccines, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.

Dixie is being fostered in Tennessee. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee does include transportation. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Due to state laws, we do not adopt to Maine residents.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DIXIE, a Bedminster Australian Cattle Dog/Feist dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Feist for sale in Bedminster, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Feist dog from a breeder in Bedminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Feist breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Feist rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
