My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone,

My name is Bugsy. I’m a handsome little guy weighing in at 22 pounds and a little over a year old. I’m young; but very, very smart. My foster parents tell me I learn things so quickly that I must have a high IQ. I love playing in the snow! I like the cold weather too.

Afew things about me:

I’m loving, gentle and loyal.
I’m high energy and love my toys (especially Kong ™ toys)!
I love my foster Beaglesister and foster brother (feline). We play all the time.
I love car rides!
I would love a home with a fenced yard so I can run and play.
I’m fine with my crate but don’t want to spend the entire day in it (please).
I sleep in my foster parent’s bedroom and sleep soundly until they get up. I have a special place in the bedroom with no crate! I know bedtime and run to my night bed. I’m a good boy.
I love treats and have a very soft mouth. You can reward me with praise too, that also works.
I would like a “young” family so I can grow up with them. But an older family is good too.
I like many walks per day. I can’t wait to get out the door for a new adventure. My foster parents take me on walks 3 times each day. I’m pretty darn good on a leash. (OK I’m getting better).
Not sure where I was born but I sure have a good foster home now!
My appetite is good. I eat dry kibble twice a day (about 1-1/3 cups per day). My foster sister and I usually race to see who can eat the fastest! (We’re beagles; what can I say?!)
I do well with other people, but can be a little extra shy around men. I have dog walkers that are 13 years old and I love them! (I’ve had limited interaction with very young children; but would probably fall in love with them!) I’m working on not barking through the window at people on the street (just protecting my foster family) but learning quickly not to bark so much.
The family who adopts me will be the luckiest ever. Make no mistake about it: I’m a bundle of energy. (My foster parents call me “spirited”; which is a good thing, right?). I promise to be a loyal and loving member of my forever family!
Contact Midwest BREW to learn more about me. I’m eager to find my forever family! That’s enough for now-I’m off to doggie day care.
Love,

Bugsy
