Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! I'm Chrissy. I'm a 2-3 year old beagle mix. Midwest BREW pulled me from a shelter in Ohio. I'm living the good life in my foster home, but I'm now ready for a forever home! My foster family thinks I am a beagle mix, possibly Beagle + Jack Russell Terrier, but who knows. When someone has treats I jump straight up in the air like I have springs in all four feet! I am about the size of a 13 inch beagle and I weigh 23 pounds. My foster mom thinks I'm stunning and is in love with my left spotted ear.
I get along well with the two other dogs living in my foster home and I am fond of the cat too! I don't know why, but I was crabby the day my foster dad took me to an adoption event and I growled at some of the dogs I met there. Other meetings with dogs have gone really well. I love to go for walks and I enjoy time outside in the fenced yard. I am a rather quiet dog and really only bark when I get excited and play.
I was recently spayed and given all my vaccinations. I seem to be in very good health, but I tested positive for Lyme disease. Lyme is transmitted to dogs through the bite of a tick. Lyme is not contagious and cannot be transferred to other dogs or people. I exhibit no symptoms, but it was detected in my blood work. I'm being treated with a round of antibiotics. I may need additional antibiotics in the future. I could develop complications in the future, but I currently have no outward signs of the disease.
My foster family tells me I have a sweet personality. I am affectionate and I love to be petted and scratched. I enjoy curling up next to you to watch TV. I'm 100% house trained and crate trained too! Fill out an adoption application if you think I might be a fit for your home.
