Luke's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Luke's Story...
Luke is a happy-go-lucky 18 month old Border collie mix. He has classic, symmetrical Border Collie black and white markings. Luke is an active guy who loves tug-a-war and fetching anything that you will throw for him. He knows simple commands like sit, come, fetch and stop. He is very smart and willing to learn. He is cat tested and gets along with most other dogs. He is neutered, has all his shots, and is heartworm negative. He is completely housetrained with a great “off” switch. We are in the process of crate training him and currently have him up to about four hours. He loves to chew on toys and so far has not chewed on anything inappropriate. He sleeps in a dog bed all night with no problems. He would sleep with us if we let him. So, if you are looking for a young, active, sweet companion, Luke is for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Allen Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Allen, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Allen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allen paves the way for another one to be saved.
