Facts about Sundance(Sunny)

  • Breed: Chihuahua/Pomeranian Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Sundance(Sunny) was hanging out at a farm for seven months. Most likely dropped there by his person. The owners of the property did feed him but as it became extremely cold,he had no where to get out of the elements or to find warmth. He wasn't allowed inside due to a severe skin issue on his back that was literally raw and bleeding. They were concerned that it was a contagious condition & would spread to their other pets. We went into action immediately to save this sweet guy. We knew he wouldn't make it through the night with temps dropping under 20 degrees. Thankfully the stars lined up and we were able to get him to one of our foster located not far from his location. She scooped him up, brought him inside her home a provided a comfy bed where he slept safe and sound. We got him the next morning and immediately took him to the groomer. He had a horrible flea allergy. It had gone on for so long the skin had become raw, hard & calloused. He then settled in with his local foster that had doctored his wound and his hair is almost completely grown back. This is one of the sweetest pups you will ever meet. Very affectionate, calm and easy going. He enjoys just hanging out, laying on the back of the sofa and overseeing your every move. If you are looking for a small, house trained gentle soul, that just wants to be with his person, look no more, Sunny is your guy!

About Wet Noses and Wagging Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

We are the voice for the innocent dogs and cats who are in need of our assistance. Many of the animals have been abused/neglected. Many have owners who simply "dump" them. Many are found roaming the streets, and we don't ever know what their stories really are. We are not for profit and STRICTLY no-kill. Much of our energy is dedicated to special needs animals, those who are crippled, injured,or suffering from various illnesses. However, our goal is to help ANY animal in need. We have been saving lives for 13+ years. Wet Noses and Wagging Tails is truly all about the animals. Thanks to our wonderful fosters and our constant networking, we are able to get the animals to safety, and ultimately to loving homes where they go on to live the lives they should have been living all along!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please request our Wet Noses and Wagging Tails adoption application. Reference the pet you are interested in meeting. We will review your questionnaire and then contact you to set up a meet/greet. Please understand that many of our animals are in foster homes so pet introductions are done by appointment only!

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters must complete an adoption application. Home and reference checks are required. Many of the doggies will require a fenced yard, and if this is the case, a fence check is ALWAYS completed. If the application is approved, there is a contract explaining the expectations required of you as an adoptive parent. Wet Noses and Wagging Tails selects the family we feel will be the best fit for our pets. This helps to ensure our animals and families will be happy together! If your application is not approved, or approved and not selected for the animal you're interested in, please understand. We know the personalities and habits of each of our rescue pets, and they all have certain needs. We sometimes have other pets we will suggest, that may be a better fit. Our number one priority is to assure the safety, happiness and overall welfare for these homeless souls. There will be a fee for each adoption. These donations go directly back into the rescue to help offset the expenses we incur taking saving the animals. We also offer a sponsorship program that allows a healthy dog, upon adoption, to help one of his/her furry friends that has special needs or chronic illness.
