Jasper's Story...
This handsome boy is Jasper. He is a "brother" to Harley, Little Bit, and Tiger. His owner passed away suddenly in 2015, so we took them all in. He is 4 years old, neutered, and has a bit of an attitude. He tends to "bully" the other cats, and can be a bit snippy about being handled. But- saying that, he has gotten much better with time and does let us pet and brush him. He prefers to lay on the floor over being on a lap. He has been around children, but probably would be better in an adult setting. He was an indoor/outdoor cat, and still does go out. If you have understanding of "catitude" and are looking for a long-haired beauty- Jasper may be looking for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper, a St. Johnsville Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in St. Johnsville, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in St. Johnsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Johnsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Johnsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Johnsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
