Kisa's Story...
Meet Kisa! She is a precious 8 lb 1-2 year old chi mix. She is a sensitive little girl who aims to please! She is a total lap dog and she would love to be someone's very best companion and friend. She bonds quickly with women and can warm up to men, but she needs patience and time to get used to her new home. She will sleep in her dog bed but she would very much love to be your bed buddy. She is house trained as long as she is taken outside on a regular schedule. She is crate trained and she rides fantastic in the car: she is a fun errand buddy!! Kisa is gentle natured and she happily flits around the house like a little fairy, which always makes us smile! She gets along great with other dogs and cats. Due to her fears of new people, we think she would do best in a home with older children. She is not nippy and has never tried to bite. She is more submissive and nervous when meeting new folks. With some treats and patience, she bonds fast! You can fill out an application for Kisa here: She is spayed, current on vaccinations, parasite free, microchipped, and current on Trifexis. Once we receive your app, her foster mom will be in touch! She is fostered in Huntsville, AL but is available for adoption in your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kisa, a Knoxville Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
