Less than a year old and has been tossed from owner to owner. The last one, kicking her out of the house because she didn't feel she was a purebred. I believe that she is referred to as a Pocket Pit. I had gotten a call to pick up a litter of puppies born under a barn. Mom was supposedly feral. I asked if he could send me a picture of her. He did, and it was one with him petting her. I told him that he wouldn't be able to get near her if she was indeed feral. I headed to the location, not knowing exactly what I would find. Immediately mom spotted me and ran right into my arms. I sat on the ground while she washed my face with kisses, then she ran to the man that had called me for help. She jumped up on his legs, wrapping her front paws around him,her little head to the side, eyes closed.... It was beautiful..she was giving him a hug. He said he had never seen anything like it. There was no question...she was saying thank you and finally this nightmare is over! She and her pups were safe and would never spend another night outside again. This pup is an old soul. Shes experienced so much in her short life but still loves with all she has. She walks excellent on a leash and each day, when we finish our walk, she stands at the top step by the sidewalk and waits for me to put my face against hers, then she runs up to the door,as if to say "look at me, I'm going inside"! I will be very particular with who she calls her forever family. She deserves a life filled with happiness and love. No more wondering where she will find her next meal or where to find a safe place to hide for the night. Only good things from this day forward. If you feel you could offer her what shes never experienced before. Security, unconditional love, loyalty and compassion, & a wonderful new beginning. If you can show her every single day that shes not disposable, her precious soul counts. If her story touches your heart and you think that you could provide the family she has only dreamed of, ,then I want to talk to you.

About Wet Noses and Wagging Tails

About Our Rescue Group...

We are the voice for the innocent dogs and cats who are in need of our assistance. Many of the animals have been abused/neglected. Many have owners who simply "dump" them. Many are found roaming the streets, and we don't ever know what their stories really are. We are not for profit and STRICTLY no-kill. Much of our energy is dedicated to special needs animals, those who are crippled, injured,or suffering from various illnesses. However, our goal is to help ANY animal in need. We have been saving lives for 13+ years. Wet Noses and Wagging Tails is truly all about the animals. Thanks to our wonderful fosters and our constant networking, we are able to get the animals to safety, and ultimately to loving homes where they go on to live the lives they should have been living all along!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please request our Wet Noses and Wagging Tails adoption application. Reference the pet you are interested in meeting. We will review your questionnaire and then contact you to set up a meet/greet. Please understand that many of our animals are in foster homes so pet introductions are done by appointment only!

Our Adoption Process...

All adopters must complete an adoption application. Home and reference checks are required. Many of the doggies will require a fenced yard, and if this is the case, a fence check is ALWAYS completed. If the application is approved, there is a contract explaining the expectations required of you as an adoptive parent. Wet Noses and Wagging Tails selects the family we feel will be the best fit for our pets. This helps to ensure our animals and families will be happy together! If your application is not approved, or approved and not selected for the animal you're interested in, please understand. We know the personalities and habits of each of our rescue pets, and they all have certain needs. We sometimes have other pets we will suggest, that may be a better fit. Our number one priority is to assure the safety, happiness and overall welfare for these homeless souls. There will be a fee for each adoption. These donations go directly back into the rescue to help offset the expenses we incur taking saving the animals. We also offer a sponsorship program that allows a healthy dog, upon adoption, to help one of his/her furry friends that has special needs or chronic illness.
