My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loki is a 2yr old male Shih Tzu (DOB – Aug 20, 2013) that came to us as an owner surrender because his family was no longer able to care for him.
He is a "special needs" dog in that he is congenitally deaf but he doesn't let that stop him. Being born that way, he doesn't know anything different. His former owner taught him hand signals and he will bark to communicate. He is very affectionate, loves to cuddle and walks nicely on his leash. He is a bit bossy when he first meets people but settles down pretty quick. Loki gets along with other dogs but don’t let his size (10 lbs) fool you, he won’t be pushed around as he does stand his ground. He likes people but we will not place with children under 12. We were advised by his owner that he was house trained but has had a few accidents in his foster home. We are monitoring him to see if this is a reaction to him losing his home or if he still needs support in this area.. Loki is also allergic to beef, he breaks out in welts and has a skin reaction almost immediately. He can eat all other foods.
