Looking for a good time? So is Lenox! This adorable orange and white ball of energy was born in 2014 but still acts like a young kitten. Lenox loves to run around the cat room and wrestle with his feline pals. It's always exciting when Lenox is in an active mood. Once he's pooped out from playing he'll be your snuggle buddy. He will roll over on his back when you pet him on the head. When he first arrived at Heartland Lenox was a little shy, but now he is Mr. Personality. We may even nominate him for mayor! If you are looking for a companion for your younger, lively cat at home, Lenox may be a good match. Or, consider adopting Lenox and one of his friends. They will keep each other company and you'll be entertained for hours.

About Heartland Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Heartland Animal Shelter is a no-kill humane 501 c 3 organization dedicated to finding homeless pets forever homes while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets in order to help with the pet overpopulation problem.

Dr. Herbert Preiser, DVM and founder of Heartland Animal Shelter wanted to make a difference by saving the lives of pets who might otherwise be euthanized because of the over-population of unwanted pets. Dr. Preiser opened Heartland Animal Shelter in October of 2002.

Heartland's vision is to eliminate euthanasia to any adoptable animal. Heartland asks for your support by spreading the word about the importance of why pets should be spayed or neutered in order to prevent overpopulation of cats and dogs. Together we can make a difference!
