Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

DEMI's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

DEMI's Story...
DEMI is such a precious little girl. She is a year old and 20 lbs. DEMI is BEST friends with her foster brother Oswald. She is so awesome at using the doggy door that her foster parents trust her to be free in the house while they are at work! DEMI thoroughly enjoys romping and playing with Oswald. She also loves to curl up on the couch or the bed to relax and get some snuggle time in with her foster parents. Demi rides well in the car and is friendly with everyone she meets. She hasn't met any kitties so we don't know if she is a fan. DEMI is a social butterfly so we feel she would be happiest with either a family who is retired/works from home, a family who has another pup for her to play with, OR a family who will take her to doggie daycare a couple days a week while they are at work. DEMI is such a perfect princess that we want her to have the absolute happiest forever imaginable. She deserves it!

DEMI is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Her $450 adoption fee includes transport to the Knoxville area.

An adoption application on DEMI can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com

All of our dogs start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DEMI, a Knoxville Cairn Terrier/Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier/Wheaten Terrier for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Cairn Terrier/Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier/Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier/Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
