Hi my name is Daphne,
I am currently enrolled in the puppies for parole program, I must say this program is amazing. I am a sweet girl with energy but can also calm down and relax. I do have only one eye as they had to remove my other one due to a medical issue, it does not stop me from doing anything that any other dog does. I have passed my CGC testing and my advanced testing. I know how to sit, lay, stay, shake, high five and I walk well on a leash but they do use a harness on me most of the time. I get along with all the other dogs and I love to play with them.I need to go to home without cats because I like to chase them. They aren't sure how I would do with children. The only thing that could possibly be a problem is, I might get a little over excited and knock someone over with my body cause my whole body wiggles when I get excited but I would never mean to do it. If you are interested in meeting me please call Kathy. Love Daphne

About City of Cameron

About Our Shelter...

The City of Cameron is partnering with the Department of Corrections program Puppies for Parole. In Cameron, we have Western Missouri Correctional Center and Crossroads Correctional Center that we work with for the Puppies for Parole Program . ( http://doc.mo.gov/DAI/P4P.php ) The dogs are shelter dogs from the City of Cameron that are viewed as hard to adopt because of socialization/behavior issues. The dogs are then sent for basic obedience training (Canine Good Citizen) where the learn basic obedience training along with being house trained and kennel trained. The dogs are then adopted out to loving families who are looking for a dog to add as a member of their family.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The dogs can be viewed or adopted through appointments.

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption application and vet reference will need to be completed prior to adoption. The adoption fee is $100.00.
