My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Saving Carolina Dogs would like to introduce you to the very beautiful Apache, a black and tan Carolina Dog we rescued from a shelter in NC. She's a lovely young female pup that is settling very well into her foster home. We had her spayed and all of her vaccinations where brought up to date so now she's looking for that home that she can call her own...forever!
She's mastered all of her commands, loves to go for walks and is slowly warming up to her foster brother, a male Carolina Dog named Crosby. We feel that she'd be fine in a home as the only dog as she bonds very closely with humans and seems to enjoy their company more than that of other dogs. Playing fetch is one of her favorite past times (please see her video!). Her gait is gracious, her markings are near perfect for a black and tan, and she's highly intelligent!

We'd love to find an experienced home for her - one that is familiar with the breed so they can bring her to her full potential. As with all rescue dogs we'd ask that she gets into training classes so she can bond with her new family and form that bond of mutual respect. If you'd like to apply to be her lifelong guardian and best friend, please send us an email at savingcarolinadogs@yahoo.com

Black & Tans are one of the rare colors that CD's come in and we don't come across them very often which makes Apache a very rare gem indeed!
