My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Her name says it all. As does her sweet, quiet and calm demeanor. Her history is a cruel one – from being an abused dog to an abandoned dog to a heartworm positive dog. Yet, typical of the breed, she has bounced back from her travails with … yes, with grace. Heartworm free, healthy except for arthritic elbows, for which she takes monthly pain meds (like a trooper), this beautiful, 8-year-old brindle loves going for walks on leash and playing with other calm, but playful dogs. She especially enjoys the company of older children (after all, pitties were once called “nanny dogs”), whether it’s gazing out at the world from inside or relaxing outdoors in the yard. A warm and fuzzy friend to everyone, all this dear, deserving doggie wants is a forever place to call home, where she can feel both safe and loved always.
