Brownie's Story...
LOVES PEOPLE AND OTHER DOGS

JUNE 26, 2012:

Brownie is a 5 year old male Beagle.  He is very kind and loves all dogs and people, but is a bit intimidated by cats.  He weights about 15 pounds.

Brownie was brought in by a neighbor who had taken over his care for several months after his previous owner stopped caring for him and another Beagle.  Brownie knows a good home when he sees one and will stick around (unlike many stray Beagles).

He does well in a crate and is just learning about the leash but he is an agreeable fellow and has already made a lot of progress!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brownie, a Lovingston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Lovingston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Lovingston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lovingston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lovingston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lovingston paves the way for another one to be saved.
