Copper's Info...

Copper's Story...
Copper is a wonderful 3 year old boy looking for an active home. He is a Collie/Shepherd mix, which means he is highly intelligent, active and will need plenty of exercise. Copper loves to RUN and will need someone who can keep up! Copper can be a little nervous of new people, and just needs someone willing to take the time to earn his trust. Once he knows you, he will want to stick by your side, and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods of time. Copper would do best in a home with children over 12 years who have experience with larger dogs. Copper does like to jump up and try to kiss you, so could easily knock over a small child. He does great with other dogs, but will need to meet any potential canine housemates to make sure it is a good match. Depending on your experience, it may be required to sign Copper up for positive reward based obedience classes before his adoption can be finalized. These will help refine his manners and help him build confidence with new people and situations. Please fill out an adoption application if you would like to meet Copper and get to know him better.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Copper, a Bellingham Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
