Honey's Story...
Hi! My name is Honey. I am a super sweet, playful girl and I am just looking for my furever home! I was rescued from a local shelter after my owner dropped me off there with a broken leg. My rescue mom took me to the vet and had my leg all fixed and now it has healed! I love playing with other dogs and snuggling with my foster mom on the couch. I am about 10 months old, weigh about 12 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. My rescue thinks I might be a yorkie/dachshund mix but we have no way to know for sure. I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $300, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport if my new family lives in the northeast USA. I am currently being fostered in South Carolina, but I can catch a ride up north to meet my new family. Please email my rescue at daybeforetherainbow@yahoo.com to get an adoption application! Thanks for checking me out!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Newark Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Newark, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Newark.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newark already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newark breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newark paves the way for another one to be saved.
