My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our boy Hendrix is paws down THE best dog at the animal shelter currently. Staff and volunteers simply love him! He is your classic friendly, happy pit bull pooch and is a very likable sort-- with his big grin and his eagerness to please. In addition, Hendrix has the best doggie play manners. He's met old dogs, young dogs, puppies, cats, female and male pooches and has been appropriate with them all. Go, dog, go!

Hendrix has recently been promoted to shelter office dog. That means he sometimes gets to hang out with staff behind the lobby counter and greet volunteers, visitors and anyone who comes by. Hendrix has been terrific! He also is a great walking companion. He has good leash manners and is always excited to see new people and dogs in the park. What more do we need to say to get this dog adopted? Did we mention he has a gorgeous muted brindle coat and a goofy smile? We know that breed bias is likely the reason Hendrix is still at the shelter. Don't buy into the hype and miss the opportunity to adopt a winning dog. We hope someone recognizes what a gem he is and takes him home soon.
