Hi, I'm Zoey and I'm sure you have met my mini-me daughter Tiny. I know she has already told most of you how we came to rescue, so here is our story again..through my daughters eyes. We used to live...well survive from the kindness of strangers. You see, we were chained in a back yard, we didn't have anything to keep the sun or rain off of us and we didn't have anything to eat. Our tummy's hurt so much and we would cry, we cried all night from hunger. There was a nice family next door, that lived behind a big fence, they heard our cries and started tossing food over the fence for us. Then they must have sneeked a look at us and saw how skinny we were because they called someone and next thing we knew some wonderful ladies were there taking us to a place that was warm, dry and had plenty of food for us to eat and they give us love here. We know now that heros, really do exist.
As you can tell I'm smooth chow mix but what you may not realize is Chows are great dogs, they are quiet, clean, beautiful, loving, loyal, smart and have awesome purple tongues. The ladies here aren't sure what I am mixed with but they say I have an amazingly firendly personality, I love everyone and have shown no issues whatsoever. So wha are you waiting for??Please apply for me online at or email us at and we will send you one.
I am spayed, UTD on my vaccinations.
*I am also heartworm positive but will be treated at no additional cost to my adopter*

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.
