My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hi there world! My name is Meatball, or Meatball Marinara, and I am a 5 year old English Bulldog. My best friend C-Lo and I were surrendered to Chicago English Bulldog Rescue in February, and it's been a little confusing so far, but I'm slowly getting used to being in a new home, even if it's just temporary. Luckily, I always have my best friend next to me! We've been together since I can remember, and I can't be separated him for a long period of time. We just love to spend time together.

I'm a very happy bulldog, who loves to spend time with my humans. I love to go for walks, and will keep going as long as I am allowed to. My foster mom calls me stubborn, and says my forever home needs a little bit of patience to let me get settled in. I don't know what that means, but I think it means walks, food, treats, and cuddles. Those all sound great to me!

I'm very protective over my best friend C-Lo, and if I feel as though someone isn't being nice to him, I'll speak up and let my voice be heard, even though that voice is just a low growl. I think this is just because this all has been very confusing, and I don't trust humans as soon as I meet them, but once I am comfortable enough to let my guard down, I'm much better about it. I do also have a cat as a foster sister right now, but she doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes I just stare at her, but only because I want to be her friend too!

Sometimes I get really excited, and that will cause me to gag and throw up a little bit.
It sometimes happens when I'm eating or drinking water, but that is just because I love food and water so very much, that I forget to breathe when I'm eating. My foster parents found that water in very small amounts help this, as it teaches me to slow down and not eat and drink so fast.

Heath wise, I'm a pretty healthy boy. I need my ears and wrinkles cleaned daily.

I think my best friend C-Lo and I would make such a great addition to your family. Will you be our forever home?
Meatball Marinara will be adopted as a pair with his buddy C-Lo!
