Blue's Info...

Blue's Story...
Blue is a stunning large long coat male German Shepherd puppy who is about 8 months old and already weighs about 80 pounds. He loves people and other dogs. He has not had much training and is used to throwing his weight around and being a little pushy. Due to his size and strength he needs to go to experienced owners. Dog savvy teenagers may work. They don't come along like Blue very often and he will add a lot of fun to his new owner's lives.

Puppies require owners who are home enough, and have the time, energy, strength, and patience to guide the puppy through it's chewing, digging, and mouthing stages (which can last until they are 2-3 years old), and who will provide regular exercise, socialization and training so the puppy will grow up to be a mannerly adult dog. All puppies bark incessantly, dig, and destroy things if they are left alone for long periods of time, and thus, need to be with owners who do not leave them alone for long hours. Priority will be given to families with experience raising German Shepherd Dog or similar puppies.

If you are interested in meeting Blue, please fill out our adoption questionnaire which you can find at http://www.scgsr.org/adoption/aq/.

Blue is Neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with a collar, all included in the adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blue, a Walnut Creek German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
