Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sam is an adorable 4 month old mixed breed puppy. His mom looks just like a border collie but we can see traits of other breeds but to be honest we have no idea the real mix.
Sam will have longer hair when fully grown. He's 15 lbs right now and will be medium size (35-50 lbs) when fully grown.
Sam is a really good puppy. He's calm and sweet, loves people, wants to be cuddled and held and looks like a little black bear when you hold him in your arms. Very very cute.
His story:
His mom was tied to the gate of the shelter about ready to give birth with her teenage son. WIthin 24 hours, she gave birth to four cute little black puppies. One was adopted there and three were very lucky, they were able to come to America for adoption. The teenage son was adopted there and we are hopefully going to find Mom a home as well.
About us:
We are a small organization who rescues mixed breed puppies in Guatemala—a country that loves pure breed dogs and dog shows but often treats mixed breed puppies with indifference and routinely abuses them. Or when they are done with their prize dog, they dump them on the street and they 'hook up' with local dogs and often our puppies are 1/2 purebreed and 1/2 whatever.
You will need to fill out an application and have a phone interview before meeting Sam. There is a fee for adoption as we are a 501 3 c rescue. Included in the adoption is a free wellness vet visit at the San Francisco SPCA veterinary hospital.
