Irene Addler's Story...
Hi, I'm Irene. I can out of an animal hoarding situation with a lot of other kitties and ended up at Animal Services. After being there for a month and a half, I was really, really anxious and scared, so I started acting badly. I was put on a list to be destroyed, but the foster lady picked me up and took me to her house. It's cool and dark and quiet and I have moved into her closet. There's other kitties here, but it isn't as loud or scary. Maybe in a few more days I'll go check out the rest of the house, but for right now, I really like this closet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Irene Addler, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
