PRINCESS PETUNIA's Story...
One-year-old Princess Petunia is a resident of North Kingstown shelter and a participant in Handsome Dan's Rescue Shelter Dog Enrichment Program.

Petunia is a busy and energetic girl looking for fun. She needs an active home and she needs some manners, but we will work with her on those as she attends Outbound Hounds' weekly Pit C.L.A.S.S. training program.

Petunia was a "junk yard dog" prior to being surrendered, so she is a little rough around the edges, but she is trying to figure it all out and she is full of love to give.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PRINCESS PETUNIA, a Cranston American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Cranston, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Cranston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranston paves the way for another one to be saved.
