Big Red's Story...
"Howdy, folks! My name is BIG RED. I'm an eight-year-old Lab/ Chow mix with a gentle and loving soul. While it's true that I have a striking red coat, I'm not what you'd consider big; I'm more medium-sized. I guess Big Red sounds better than Medium-Sized Red, though. It's easy to see when you look into my kind face that I'm destined to be some lucky person's loyal friend. I'm easy-going and affectionate, and I get along nicely with everyone, whether it's a person or another dog. I'm a well-mannered gentleman, so I know how to sit on command and I'd never dream of jumping on you. I'd appreciate an easy walk each day, then I'd like to just hang out with my person or family. As a Super Senior, my adoption fee is just $30, and that includes my microchip, current basic shots, and my neuter surgery. That's a great price for an ideal companion. I know I would be a friend that will make you feel better, so I hope you'll come visit me so we can get better acquainted out in the nice play yard that they have here. I hope to see you soon! Love, Big Red"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Red, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
