Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone! My name is Haze but my foster mom calls me Chewbaca or Chewie for short. She says it's because I look like some furry guy from a famous movie. Apparently I even make noises like he does! I'm here to tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 2 year old Shih Tzu mix. I am a really cool guy but I had a rough start in life. My last owner didn't take very good care of me and wasn't very nice to me either. I didn't get fed enough so I had to learn to protect what food I got, which means I really don't like it when someone tries to take away food or treats I've found (especially things I'm not supposed to have!). I'm doing a little better with this thing my foster mom calls "treat aggression" but because of it I have to live with an experienced dog owner and if they have kids, they must be over the age of 14 years old.
I also think groomers are really, really scary! A really nice lady is working with me and has promised that I'll never be hurt at a groomers again but I'm still not completely convinced, especially when those scissors come near my head! I think if my new owner found a groomer that was really patient or if they took me back to the nice lady I've been seeing I will be okay eventually.
Because I am young, I love to play. My favorite toys are stuffed animals. I LOVE stuffed animals! A big box of stuffed animals from my adopter would be the best thing ever!! I also like playing fetch with them, although my foster mom keeps trying to take them from me after I run back to her with them. She calls it "fetch" or something like that. I think she's just trying to steal my stuffed animals. After all, they are the best thing ever!
I also love going for walks so that everyone can see how cute I am. Let's face it, who can resist this face?!
I get along with other dogs although it can take me a little while to warm up to them, especially if they are big and energetic. I'm now good friends with my two Boston Terrier foster siblings. Oh, and did i mention that I love cats? I'll even curl up with them if they'll let me.
Speaking of curling up, I love to cuddle. My foster mom usually wakes up to find me curled up next to her with my head on her shoulder.
My foster mom says I'm a really special dog who just needs the right person to love me. Could you be that person? I hope so!
