NETTIE's Story...
Nettie is Boxer mix that weighs about 45 pounds. Her approximate D.O.B. is 9/27/12. We think that Nettie was used as a breeder because she is a beautiful tiger striped brindle. She was left at the shelter and we can only assume it was because her owners had no more use for her. She is the absolute sweetest girl you will ever meet. She loves her people and loves to play with her toys. She loves to snuggle and will sit calmly with you while watching your favorite TV show. She likes to be petted and she likes it when you sing to her. Nettie walks well on a leash and rides very well in the car. She is good around other dogs her size, but does tend to be a bit bossy. She is a little wary of new things like the trash can being set out at the road every week. She just HAS to go over to it slowly and check it out to be sure nothing is amiss. Nettie is current on her shots, has been spayed, wormed, tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly prevention, and she is microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

NETTIE, a Wilmington Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
