My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Teddy is a male Bichon mix about 3 years old and weighs about 16lbs. This little cutie is super sweet and loving towards anyone he gets to spend time with. Teddy has a very bold personality and therefore it takes him time to warm up to people. We do not know his history but we believe he did not have regular interaction with other people than his owner. He has to get to know you, smell you and feel out the situation before he will allow you to pet and interact with him. He spent time with a foster family where he learned to love everyone, but again it took time. Since he is slow to acclimate he needs to be in a home with children over the age of 12. Teddy loves his fur foster brothers and sisters and HAS TO GO INTO A HOME WITH ANOTHER DOG as he craves attention and other dogs can provide the love and support he needs. Teddy is house trained but requires time to learn a new bathroom schedule as he has gone from going on walks in one home to having a fenced in back yard at another home. Teddy is definitely a fluffy fur ball of love but will require an owner who knows what it is like to work with a stubborn small dog. We will only consider adopters who live in New Jersey. Thank you.
