Corey's Story...
Hi my name is Corey. I am about 9 weeks old and weigh about 12 pounds (feb 8 2016) when I was younger my right rear leg was broken. It hurt really badly but no one took me to the doctor. Then one day a really nice lady found me and realized my leg was hurting. The doctor said it would need to be amputated. That scared me but the next day when I woke up my leg did not hurt anymore AND I could run and play like other kids. I hope my having 3 legs does not bother you because it sure does not bother me!

Although I am currently in Mississippi at Hope Sanctuary, transportation to the New England area is provided by Animal Rescue Front and is included in the adoption fee. If you are interested in taking me into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://animalrescuefront.org/forms/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corey, a Groton Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
