Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baby has been going through Hell back and forth. She was abandoned, living all by herself in an empty house for 3 months.
The neighbor finally found out once they saw her walking through the yard nothing but skin and bones. Police and Animal Control was contacted, but nobody was willing to help.
So they neighbor started feeding her and put a bucket of food and water every day over the fence.
Finally somebody reached out to us and we took on this task. 1 person went over there multiple times a day and just sat in the yard without saying a word. Just building trust with presence. She started to come closer and ate out of the hand but didn't want to get touched. Eventually we put out a humane trap and after a few days we were able to trap her in it. The morning we finally captured her, she greeted us with a wagging tail and did a 180 personality change. She let us put her on a leash and jumped right in the car and was like a different dog. She doe snot like cats but She is great with other dogs and loves kids all age. She does better in a low traffic home as she is very protective of her family. She will bark at strangers and can sound quite intimidating. Someone who lives alone or a family who doesn't a have many many visitor would be best. She is a doll and these pictures doesn't even show her real beauty. She deserves a great home. She is housebroken, non destructive, has the softest coat ever and once she trust you just a cuddle bug. For some reason Baby has been terribly over looked and has been with us for 3 years. She barely get applications which is unbelievable because she is not only stunning but also the sweetest girl you have ever met.
She has some food allergies and can only have poultry and grain fee foods but otherwise she is happy and healthy.
She is great with other dogs but would also be ok as the only dog since she is not a big player at all. If she can pick over dog companionship or humans, she will pick her human every time. All she wants is to please and be with you .
She just needs a chance to show that for the past years someone was missing out on the perfect dog..
She is about 5 years old and weighs between 45 and 50 lbs,
UPDATE 7/25/20 Baby just recently developed a food allergy to grains and poultry. She can only have foods and treats without those ingredients.
If you would like to meet Baby please send us a message in order to receive an application. We are only able to meet with are approved applicants since we do not have a shelter available to the public.
Baby's adoption fee is $ 250 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test, spay and micro chip.
