Willie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Willie's Story...
Willie is about 5 months old now. He's a Doxie mix (I think there's some pug in there... He's got a curl in his tail). Willie is ALL puppy!!! He is a little ball of energy! He's a pretty fast learner. He knows "sit", "lay down","paw", and when we say "crate" he runs right in. He spends our working hours in the crate and sleeps in his crate, too. He rarely has any accidents in it. He's getting pretty good at "stay", as well. He automatically sits for his food, and we can usually get him to stay and not eat the food until we say, "yes!". Willie LOVES TO PLAY! He loves fetching anything you throw. When he settles down, he's a very sweet snuggler. He loves to rub his head and neck on your face and neck and loves belly rubs. He responds very well to treats and positive reinforcement.

Willie is doing very well with housetraining. He sits by the door when he needs to go out and has very few accidents in the house. The accidents are usually just because nobody let him out in time.

He will need a family who continue to work with him to strengthen his house training skills and manners...he IS still a puppy. Due to his puppy energy, he may be too much for smaller children, so a home with older children would be best for Willie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willie, a Greensboro Dachshund/Pug puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Pug for sale in Greensboro, or seeking a Dachshund/Pug puppy from a breeder in Greensboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Pug breeders who help with Dachshund/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
