Buja is a beautiful, loving, cuddly and playful 6 year-old pit mix. She is exceedingly loyal and eager to please, and she loves to learn new tricks (watch her agility class graduation). She can be hesitant around new people but warms up quickly, and once she knows you that's it: she loves you. She's very well house-trained and kennel trained. She loves the beach, swimming, car rides, hiking, sun spots and cuddles. She can sit, stay, lay down, jump up, roll over, leave it and play hide and seek. Buja is easily startled and can be reactive with other dogs, so she is looking for a kid-free home where she is the only dog. We can provide everything she needs including leash, toys, kennel and 6 months of flea prevention

If you would like to meet Buja, please email ahomeforbuja@gmail.com to set up a visit.

About Grateful Dogs Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Grateful Dogs Rescue was founded in 1990; its mission is to rescue dogs not made available for adoption at San Francisco Animal Care and Control and other local shelters through no fault of their own. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these dogs until a loving home is found.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is always in need of new foster homes!  You can make a difference by fostering. The number of dogs we can save is dependent on having foster parents to care for them until they find their forever homes.

To learn more about Grateful Dogs Rescue, please visit our website at gratefuldogsrescue.org.

Grateful Dogs Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and rehoming dogs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Grateful Dogs Rescue is a registered 501-(c) (3) non-profit organization (TIN 94-3251570). All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs live in nurturing foster homes provided by volunteers. If you are interested in adopting one of our Grateful dogs, please complete our adoption application. One of our volunteers will get back to you.

Our Adoption Process...

The Grateful Dogs Rescue adoption procedure is designed to find a good match between the dog and adopter. Our goal is a happy human and happy dog in a "forever home." The adoption procedure includes an application, interview, home inspection, and an adoption fee. The adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, shots and other medical care given before the dog is made available for adoption.
