Loki's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and not good with dogs.

Loki's Story...
Loki is a 1 year old male Snowshoe. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Loki has special needs - he is 90% blind (developmental) and has a history of asthma that he takes a daily medication for. He has had a few small episodes since entering foster care, but they're not too bad. He needs a very quiet and relaxed home, with NO loud or hyper dogs/cats/kids. He is okay with the lazy cat in his foster home. She doesn't bother him & she makes no noise. He dislikes all dogs and the talkative/playful foster cat. His foster mom says, "As long as I approach his crate area very slowly & I whisper or don't talk in his presence at all, he is just fine. If I walk too fast or talk too loud, he gets very stressed and immediately growls, hisses and attacks my feet. He comes out for attention on his own terms! It has taken him 5 days to even let me get close enough to pet him without biting me, so he will need a very patient and understanding owner. But, we are making progress together, even if it is slow! Once he is settled in his new surroundings, he will come out to explore and approach his human for head rubs. He doesn't like being handled too much, only head/back petting."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Bentonville Snowshoe cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Snowshoe for sale in Bentonville, or seeking a Snowshoe cat from a breeder in Bentonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bentonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bentonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Snowshoe breeders who help with Snowshoe rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bentonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
