Hansel's Story...
Hansel and his siblings and mom were all surrendered to a local pound. The pound contacted us and of course, one look and we couldn't say no! Hansel is about 10 weeks old and very sweet! This boy gets along great with other dogs, and loves to play. He's a great mix of playful but snuggly. His mom weighs about 45 pounds so we expect he will be around that same weight, give or take a little! Hansel is in foster in West TN and will be transported once his adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Hansel to your family, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hansel, a Allentown German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Husky for sale in Allentown, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Husky puppy from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
