Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Unlike the ill-fated maiden in the poem, the stars at night that rise in the bright-eyes of this ANNABEL LHI... are deep in the Heart of Texas!! Although we think the angels would still be jealous of the love she inspires, because everyone ANNABEL LHI meets is instantly smitten!
Delicate as fine china, this 3.5 pound, 2 year old damsel earned the LHI moniker because just like ACR's own Gypsy Rose Lhi - she failed the "Gilbert Test." Affectionately named in honor of Sr. Vet Tech Gilbert C. at Balcones Vet who saved GRL's life by running a feces-to-film test. He discovered that she didn't generate the proper enzymes needed to break down the nutrients in her food, and was slowly wasting. When we laid eyes on ANNABEL, our little GRL instantly new a LHI when she saw one, and barked out "Gilbert Test! STAT!"
Sure enough, ANNABEL LHI's new family will need to give her Enzyme pills at each morning/night feeding. ANNABEL highly recommends cream cheese as a favorite vehicle for the pungent pills, and to have about $12 in your pocket for a month's supply. She is already beginning to thrive and in full health, ANNABEL LHI will indeed make even the heavens weep with joy!
