When I met this beautiful little gal at the kennel, that stubby little tail of hers never stopped wiggling! She's so happy to be with people & you can't help but laugh at how fast that tail can go when she's standing next to you, begging for some love! Here is Arya in her own words:
Hi! My name is Arya & I'm a Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix, compact & low to the ground at a sturdy 37 pounds. I am a sweet girl who loves to spend time with my human friends - boy, do I love to play! Do you have a yard where I can run around - for me, that's more fun than going for walks! But I am also very happy to be in the house with you, snuggling & getting belly rubs. I also have the cutest stumpy tail - it is constantly wagging when I'm around people so sometimes they call me "Wiggle Butt".
From an EHR volunteer: Arya was great on leash, well mannered and loving. After we walked a long time, we went to the kennel office and hung out. She found toys in a laundry basket to play with, but never helped herself to them. She waited for me to give them to her. After a while, I sat on the couch and Arya sat right next to me. I stroked her all over, and she was very accepting of the attention. She went up to Fran’s chair, too, and when Fran pet her, Arya’s stubby little tail wagged like crazy. I thought she was beyond precious.
If you are interested in meeting this beautiful girl, please fill out an application and be sure to mention her name...Arya (Patty Shepherd)!
