OPIE's Story...
Lafayette Animal Control Center would like to welcome OPIE to our adoption program. He is a 3 month old, 18.6 lb. Labrador Retriever/Great Dane/Mix who is as cute as a button. At 3 months old, he is already a big boy...hence the Great Dane. OPIE is just a puppy with a playful spirit and is always happy. As with all pups, OPIE will require lots of love and attention. He is going to make a wonderful companion, so don't let his size scare you. All canines are fully vetted, UTD on vaccinations, rabies, wormed, micro-chipped and spay/neutered. Adoption hours are from 1:00-4:30, Monday-Friday. Adoption fee is $100. Cash, Visa, Mastercard and Discovery accepted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

OPIE, a LAFAYETTE Labrador Retriever/Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in LAFAYETTE, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane puppy from a breeder in LAFAYETTE.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LAFAYETTE already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LAFAYETTE breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LAFAYETTE paves the way for another one to be saved.
