Allow me to introduce my fine self! My name is Rocky, but I am nothing like my name. Actually, I am a silky-soft, super-snuggable and really wrinkly bundle of bulldog love. Right now, I am just hangin’ with my foster family until CEBR chooses the extra-lucky very best furever family qualified to adopt me! I say “qualified” for a good reason, though. You heard the saying, “Anything worth having is worth the work,” right? Well, I am living proof that this is 100% true!
My foster mom and dad tell me what an irresistible, sweet and wiggly little boy I am. And it’s true – people LOVE me!! Sheesh, I mean, how could you NOT, I ask you? And, hey, I love people right back! I love to wiggle on my back for belly rubs and I will tap you with my paw just to let you know it’s okay to keep rubbin’ for a few hours or so. That’s the “worth having” part. Seriously, people, I am SOOO worth having!
However, I was born with Ehler Danlos Syndrome (or “EDS” for short). It’s genetic and pretty rare in dogs. EDS makes my skin saggy and kinda fragile, so there are some important instructions to follow on how to keep me healthy, handsome and huggable 24/7! Don’t let that scare ya off, tho. It’s just that I need weekly medicated baths and extra vitamins and stuff like that. It’s not a heckuva lot, but that’s “the work” part that I was tellin’ you about.
So, you get the idea . . . like, since I am a bit more delicate than the average bulldog, CEBR feels the best household for me will not have kids under 12 years old or other really active dogs.
I am not built for leash-walking, so I’d love a house with a nice yard. My paws are too sensitive for a lot of wear-and-tear on sidewalks or in really cold weather. I would much rather chill with my new family in the house or on a car ride, anyways.
I am not a big boy – about 53 lbs. – but, boy, do I have a BIG personality! I am all about cuddles and kisses and snuggling with my family as much as I can! I love napping with you (or on you) on the couch or just chewin’ my toys near you.
My foster mom says that, although I am 99.99% perfect, I play kinda rough with my toys and I like to chew on hands, too, so we are working on that and I hope you will work with me, too. We could be a real dynamic duo!!
My foster mom works during the week, but my foster dad is retired and we are best buddies! I guess I never realized how much I really like being in a home where someone is around most of the day. It allows me plenty of time for cuddles and snuggles -- my two favorite things!
So, that’s about it. I am an ultra-excellent and handsome fellow. I am four years young. I am potty-trained. I am not really active outside due to my physical limitations, but I am a lively fellow with my toys. I am a good eater. And I really love my two foster siblings. They are bulldogs, too, and really laid back, so we are one big happy herd of bullies.
To sum it up, I am 150% ready for my very own furever family. So, as long as you promise to take extra good care of me, I promise to pay you back in oodles of cuddles and kisses.
