Bernard is a 7 year old mix, most likely St. Bernard & Irish Setter. He is large, but not huge. He is a curious & smart boy that would benefit from an active owner that likes to walk or run. Bernard will need a 6ft privacy fence or on a leash with his owners while outside, for a least a while. Bernard does not do well in tight spaces. We recommend a dog savvy home with no children & minimal visitors. He ignores other dogs so a home with no other pets is best as well so all time can be dedicated to this fella. Bernard had had training, knows basic obedience & is potty-trained. We would require his new family to continue his training. Bernard has been in sheltering for a while waiting for that right person that is ready to give a dog a hand up. Are you that someone?

Interested? Please visit http://bit.ly/1m78fU5 to complete our quick online adoption application from your computer or desktop (not a phone). A representative will email you within 24-hours. Please do not come in until you are pre-approved. Bernard's adoption fee is $150 & includes: Neuter, vaccines, microchip, deworming, a heartworm test, a wellness exam, a fecal test, & an offer of pet healthcare insurance for 30-days from adoption date. Thank you!

About Dogs by Debin

About Our Rescue Group...

We were developed based on the fact that there is a gap in the system here locally. The shelters that are open-intake, although they are doing the best they can, they can only do so much. Those shelters are also very stressful to the dogs & this is where we step in. You can consider our place a half-way home for dogs if you will. We allow the dogs to be dogs again, offering them behavioral modification, land to run on, playgroups & necessary vet care. With this being said, our adoption rate is sometimes slowed due to the fact the dog(s) may not be ready for adoption right away. We set our dogs up for success & match them with the right family. Our final goal is to have the adoptions last the dog's lifetime.

Our #1 goal though is to have a dog stay in their current home, should it be safe. We offer counseling & resources to do our best to make this happen. When it's not possible, they may safely surrender the dog to us, provided we have space.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Come in and meet our dogs anytime during normal business hours. Our hours of operation can be found on our website at www.DogsbyDebin.com.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a Adoption Application located on our website at www.DogsbyDebin.com under the Applications tab. Each potential adopter is required to fill out.

After the Adoption Application is reviewed, and requirements are verified, Dogs by Debin will contact adopter, and if eligible, appointment will be made to come in and meet our dogs.

We try and list our adoption fees when posting our dogs. All of our adoption fees include: Age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, tested for heart worm (if positive, we treat them), and a free training session with our local trainer. If the adoption is a puppy, the training session will be at 4mths or older.
