Lassie Lovers Behold!! While we're waiting for more photos of Findley, we didn't want to waste any time trying to find him the perfect home where he will be loved to pieces! Findley is a very affectionate boy who needs a new home quick. He's got a big smile and sense of humor to match - - he loves everybody and will take the slightest glance in his direction as an invitation to say hello! He's been playing well with bigger dogs at the shelter where he was dumped by someone who didn't want him anymore, and he's been very social with all the volunteers. True to his working breed heritage, he's very energetic and will probably think it's his job to keep small dogs (and perhaps small children?) in line . . . but most Collie/Sheltie lovers expect that!! We think Findley is about 2 years old, he's super healthy, and he weighs about 40 - 45 pounds -- making him either a very large Sheltie or a rather small Collie!! All he needs is a home where he can live happily ever after. If you have room in your heart for a boy who will fill it with love, please visit for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting. microchip and neuter included in his $400 adoption fee. Transport fee is additional $140. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE

Why Adoption is a Great Option

*Findley - PENDING, a Westport Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Westport, or seeking a Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Collie/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
