Moby is a 4-year-old Chinese Crested who came into rescue with his best friend, Toby.  This regal, exotic-looking boy is a HUGE cuddle bug who loves to have his belly rubbed! Enjoying human companionship is one of the main characteristics of his breed. Moby can be extremely frightened in new or uncomfortable surroundings, but he is a perfectly lovable pet once he has adjusted. He loves to play at the dog park and is unseperable from his best friend Toby. He is potty trained but marks inside from time to time. The perfect home for Moby will be with someone with love, patience, and the ability to work with fearful dogs. He will do best in a home with no small children or large dogs, but can adapt if they are respectful of his space. Moby is fearful when meeting new people and may growl or nip-- but he has gotten much better and there isn't a truly aggressive bone in his body. Moby and Toby have a lot of energy and like to go on walks and  run at the dog park as often as possible. While Chinese Cresteds are not classified as Hypoallergenic, they shed very minimally which would be great for anyone with allergies. Because of his distinctive hairless body, research about care of his breed is advised.

Due to the bond between Moby and Toby, we would love to keep this bonded pair together.

The suggested donation amount for Moby and Toby is $500 for the pair, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue.  To fill out an application, please visit the following web address: http://www.muddypawssecondchancerescue.com/#!adopt-a-pet/c7cy The adoptions for all of our dogs will be in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. About Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed in 2014 by a small group of devoted animal lovers, in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area, with many years of rescue experience wanting to make a difference in the lives of dogs. Our rescue focuses on small breed dogs, less than 35 pounds, of any age. It is all volunteer based, and all of our rescue dogs are living in the homes of our volunteers.
Our rescue is unique in that we offer supportive services, such as education and training, to owners considering relinquishing their pet in an effort to try to keep the dog in their home whenever possible. We also educate and offer placement assistance to owners attempting to rehome their pets through social media sites, which can often be risky for the pets as well as the owners.
