My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

http://www.valleydogs.org/dexter.html -- Thumper is looking for a new home along with his brother Dexter. They were originally rescued together as puppies, but unfortunately they are now looking for a new home because of their last owner losing their housing and dumping them at the Humane Society in another state. Thumper is the brindle dog that is so cute squinting in the photo and Dexter is the tan/blond dog.

They can be a little reserved at first due to be shuffled around after being abandoned, but open up very fast. They are currently in a boarding facility since we are unable to find a foster at this time. Once they know you they open up quick and love people. Due to the cattle dog or Heeler in them, they are herding dogs so we don't recommend them in a home with young children. If you are looking for a mellow set of dogs that will be more than fine as a pair alone in a house while you work, they will be perfect for you. Due to their age, temperament, and bond as brothers they will be great in most homes once someone gives them the chance they deserve since they are very mellow and easy to care for. They love to play ball and take walks and are social with other non-aggressive dogs. Our goal is to find them a home together since they were originally adopted together and are very bonded.

We know that there is Australian Heeler / Cattle dog and maybe some Lab in the breeding. They are each about 50 pounds. They are both microchipped, up to date on shots and fixed.
