Jake's Story...
We are assisting a local gentleman in re-homing 'Jake.' Jake is just under 2 yrs old, male, English Spaniel. Jake has a 'bum' back leg due to a past injury (dog attack). Jack is also heartworm positive. However, Jack will do just fine and become heartworm negative (within 6 mos to 1.5 yrs) if put on the Advantage-Multi product each month (a heartworm slow-kill method). This product also kills fleas. Jake is current on his annual vaccines and rabies vaccine and neutered. Adoption Fee is $100 which includes getting the first 8 months of Advantage Multi product for the heartworm treatment. Jake is currently living outdoors so he is most likely not house-trained. We hope to find someone who would like to make Jake an in-door dog. Call 931.232.8165 if interested. Or email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Dover English Springer Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Springer Spaniel for sale in Dover, or seeking a English Springer Spaniel dog from a breeder in Dover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Springer Spaniel breeders who help with English Springer Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dover paves the way for another one to be saved.
