Sweet little Patty came into the kill shelter along w/ her sisters (Peppermint and Candy) and her mom Abbigail. They were pulled the day they were going to be put down. Patty is sweet, quiet and enjoying life. She had a small eye infection which we have cleared up now but has a small spot on her R eye. She can see just fine though and it doesn't affect her functionally. She has been around other cats, dogs (big and med) and small children. She and her sister Candy would like to stay together if possible. They are both very sweet, loving an like to snuggle but are a little shy around people until they get to know them. About Blount County Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

The Blount County Humane Society is a No-Kill organization whose goal is to build a No-Kill shelter in Blount County TN.

Our Adoption Process...

We require that our adoption contract be filled out and signed, then you will be contacted by the adoption manager or other Humane Society Volunteer. We will check your personal and veterinarian references, and then visit your home to determine if the accommodations are appropriate and in the best interest of the pet you want to adopt. All of the pets we adopt out are up to date on their shots, and are spayed or neutered. Dogs are heartworm negative and on preventative medicine. Cats are feline leukemia and aids negative. We strive to adopt out healthy and well balanced animals, but from time to time if health problems exist, medications are needed, or there are behavioral issues, this will be fully disclosed prior to adopion.
