Doogie's Story...
Doogie Bowser, M.D. at your service. I’m a doctor—a doctor of love and affection if you will! I may be a boy genius at just 8 months old, but it still feels like I’m going through somewhat of a midlife crisis…. You know, I’m at the top of the hill and homeless… Not getting any younger and I don’t have a loved one to spend the rest of my life with. Such worrisome woes for just a young lad, don’t you think?! I do really well with other dogs, love to play with cats, and adore kids. Plus, I am crate trained already! See, I am a boy genius! 8 months old-41lbs. My adoption fee is $240 and includes microchip & registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doogie, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Vizsla dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Vizsla for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Vizsla dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Vizsla breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Vizsla rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
