MooMoo's Story...

I'm MooMoo, a nice young girl, but homeless!  That's what sometimes happens when college students adopt.  She went back to school, but couldn't take me to her hew apartment.  Her family kept me at home, but didn't have time or space to give me the exercise, training and love I need.  I got pretty sad and lonely, but now LCHS is helping me find a new home!  I'm ALMOST a year old, 35 lbs, and full of love.  My first family said my colors were a lot like a cow's coat, so they named me Moo Moo.  I'm not sure what a cow is, but they must be pretty because I am spectacular!  I'm completely housebroken, not a chewer, and I love other dogs and cats.  Children are my favorite people.  I'm a little nervous around big men, especially if they wear hats.  I just haven't been around them much.  I'm willing to give them a chance.  Everyone tells me most men are nice - they're just bigger and louder than the people I'm used to.  I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  My adoption fee is $125, which helps to pay for my vet care, and allows LCHS to help other homeless pets like me.  To meet me (ask for MooMoo), contact LvnCoHS@live.com by e-mail.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MooMoo, a Lansing Basset Hound/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Dachshund for sale in Lansing, or seeking a Basset Hound/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Lansing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lansing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lansing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Dachshund breeders who help with Basset Hound/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lansing paves the way for another one to be saved.
